Katie Stoudemire (she/her), Project Director, has more than 17 years of experience providing natural science enrichment for hospitalized children. She began the program in 2006 and especially enjoys learning from kids & teenagers, making a mess, and brainstorming new activities. When she’s not at work, she loves being outside with her family.

Andrew Torlage (he/him), Project Manager & Volunteer Coordinator, hails from South Africa originally, where he worked as a field guide. Combining this experience with a background in teaching he soon found himself in the world of environmental education, allowing him to pursue his passion of connecting others with nature. Andrew has lived on 3 continents, loves to travel and explore and is always ready for the next adventure.

Dior Enoch (they/them), Bilingual Educator, has experience teaching kids and teens social-emotional skills as well as academics. They are from North Carolina and are fluent in Spanish and love having a chance to connect with kids.
Cate Schultz (she/her), Education Specialist, is a senior at UNC who is majoring in Human Development and Family Science and Psychology. Cate is passionate about therapeutic play and supporting children’s coping skills. She has experience leading outdoor education interventions for children at homeless shelters, after school programs, and educational camps. Cate has engaged in developmental research both at UNC and internationally at the University of Cambridge PEDAL Lab. She loves to make glitter volcanos with the patients at UNC Children’s and is an avid sunset/rise chaser.
