When did you get involved with Wonder Connection?
October 2019
How/Why did you get involved?
A tutor during a summer program told me about Wonder Connection. I am interested in science, love working with kids and am studying to be a nurse - so I knew it would be a great fit for me!
What is your favorite volunteer activity and why?
I couldn't choose just one, so I'm going to give you my top 3:
Mudpies
Aquarium (and making the paper plate jellyfish)
Gingerbread houses
They were all a lot of fun and families loved them!
What story from volunteering is most memorable for you?
I like it when we see the same people at different events. It's great to see how excited they get about our events and I love to see how they can still experience a lot of joy while going through a particularly hard experience.
What do you hope Wonder Connection will achieve in the future?
I hope that the program can grow so that they will be able to serve more kids at other children's hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the country.
What are your hobbies?
I love watching new movies, trying new restaurants and watching Carolina sports!
What is your favorite color? favorite flower?
Pink and a rose (a pink one of course!)
